As many of you know who have used Bawte, it is pretty interesting to see all the different things people buy and tag.  We have had people tag every thing from gum to Google TV's and everything in between.  To say it has been pretty cool would be considered an understatement.  In an effort to further engage and promote the use of Bawte, we are releasing our badges to the public.  Now, we are not going to tell you all the badges and the criteria to get them, but we will let you in on our inaugural badge...the Thirst Quencher by Kum & Go.

This badge can be obtained by buying and tagging Kum & Go fountain drinks.  We will keep the criteria close to our chest, but rest assured your previous tags will count towards obtaining this badge.

Now make sure you have the most recent version of the apps on your phone.  We have provided links to the iPhone and Android versions, but you should be able to just update on your phone.  If you are using the older version of the app the badges will not show.

From here we plan on introducing many more badges for participating companies as well as general category badges, so stay tuned.  Badges aren't the only new feature in the new versions of the apps.  Brands can now push promotions and sweepstakes to users who tag their products.  You can also add friends via Twitter and Contacts as well as invite your friends via Facebook and Twitter.  Finally, you can now share your cool product discoveries with the world of Twitter.
